If HIV/AIDS education is provided, it must:

• Stress abstinence
• Be age-appropriate
• Teach that each student has the power to control personal behavior
• Encourage students to base actions on:
• Reasoning
• Self-esteem
• Respect for others

Parents may opt out of sex and HIV/AIDs education.
